I’m headed to Casablanca in exactly one week and, as a final hurrah in our fine nation, I’ve taken a brief but bountiful road trip with Josh Kramer. After a glorious New Year’s, ringing in two-thousand-and-great in Brooklyn with former housemates Greg and Will, we stopped in Philadelphia to pick up Josh’s high school chum Peter and then sped off to Pittsburgh.
We failed to buy any discount swords in Carlisle, Pa., but truly hit our stride in the Iron City. Mostly, we were loving the local soft rock station, miniatures at the Carnegie Museum of Art, and tunnels that lasted forever.
Photographic evidence after the break.

Peter notes the delicate charm of this miniature dining room, an enchanting ending to a surprisingly great museum.

We spotted this car (maybe a prop from “In Living Color”???) outside of Primanti Bros. on the South Side.
Josh and Peter take off tomorrow, which is my cue to finally start packing/preparing for Morocco. Give me your address and I’ll send you a postcard.
